On November 29:
Black-shanked Douc Langur club
held an activity of waste collection and cleaning the area around Long Doan and
Truong Tho Pagodas located on Takou mountain.
Purposes
of this activity are
-
To contribute
to make
beautiful
and clean
scenery area
-
To direcly enhance awareness of
tourists,
local authorities, cable-car companies,
etc. This activity also aims to promote 6 green clubs in secondary schools.

2)
On December 6, 2009, 2 green clubs of Tan Thuan
and Ham Minh
Secondary schools coordinated with
Black-shanked Douc Langur
Club to organize a picnic in Bung Thi Hot Spring
(at the center of Takou Natural Reserve). Purposes of the picnic are:

Biodiversity introduction of Takou Nature Reserve
-
As the experiment for club members to acknowledge the
role of vegetation in preventing erosion and
controlling water
flow with handmade tools. The experiment also help
the children to know
the significant role of forest in ensuring ecological balance. Useful games for them
are such
as games named"Who are we?", "Find places of living”, etc.

Enhance
knowledge for the club members
about biodiversity.

3) On December 10,
Black-shanked Douc Langur
Club organized
the exchange with Tan Thanh
Secondary school. This is also the last one
among 6 secondary schools closing the exchange
program to proceed preparation activities for environment and biodiversity
competition.
