 |  |  | | Primate monitoring program in Bu Gia Map National Park (09-01-2010, at 22:15:00) |  | | Bu Gia Map National Park (NP) is located in Bu Gia Map district (former Phuoc Long District), Binh Phuoc province. It was established in 2002 with a total area of about 26.000ha.
Seven primate species have been recorded in this area include Pygmy loris Nycticebus pymaeus, Stump-tailed macaque Macaca arctoides, Pig-tailed macaque Macaca leonina, Long-tailed macaque Macaca fascicularis, Annamese silvered langur Trachypithecus margarita, black-shanked Douc Pygathrix nigripes and Yellow-cheeked crested gibbon Nomascus gabriellae.

A training course on BRAHMS is going to be conducted at the herbarium VNM of the Institute of Tropical Biology during 17-22 August 2009. The purpose of the course is to provide a comprehensive BRAHMS training course for plant herbarium management and research with potential participants from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
